Gunmen storm Mali hotel, take 170 people hostage. Africa's richest man rumored to be among hostages by Al Jazeera, spokesman says otherwise

Al Jazeera is reporting an attack on the Radisson Blu hotel in Mali's capital with Africa's richest man, Dangote, said to be among hostages.

Anthony Chiejina, Dandote's spokesman has confirmed that Dangote is not among hostages. Al Jazeera has not updated its live coverage of the incident as at the time of this report.

This is not the first time this would be happening in Mali, as the government battles with Tuareg rebels.
The UN is said to be having a function at the event.
UN and Mali military offices are at the scene.
