The Federal Government has sacked the heads of 24 agencies and parastatals. Secretary to Government of the Federation (SGF), Babachir Lawal, disclosed this in a statement. According to Lawal, the full list include:

1. Nigerian Television Authority (NTA)

2. Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN)

3. Voice of Nigeria (VON)

How GEJ's Ex-ADC Transported N10bn In 17 Suitcases To PDP Chiefs

Detectives are questioning former President Goodluck Jonathan’s ex-Aide-De-Camp (ADC) on the disbursement of more than N10 billion oil proceeds to Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) nomination convention delegates.

Col. Ojogbane Adegbe is being detained by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), which is on the trail of another key aide to the former President – Waripamowei Dudafa, former Special Assistant on Domestic Affairs.

Adegbe and Dudafa collected the cash — $47m and some Euros from the Office of the National Security Adviser(ONSA), it was learnt.

The Elegushi Royal Family has revealed its plan for the establishment of a $300 million new Imperial International Business City (IIBC). The new 200 hectare city will be built on reclaimed Lagoon extension of the kingdom and will also be the first eco-friendly smart business city in Africa.
The Elegushi of Ikate Kingdom, Oba Saheed Ademola Elegushi laid out his vision about the city in his palace while receiving some American investors interested in the project. He said the idea of a smart business city will address the perennial housing deficit in Lagos state and also change the landscape of real estate in Africa.

EFCC Arrests Ex-Chief of Air Staff's wife, Recovers $1m In Soakaway Pit

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested, Lara, the wife of the immediate past Chief of Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Adesola Amosu (rtd), over the arms procurement scandal.

Impeccable sources said that Mrs. Lara Amosu was picked up by the EFCC operatives last week in Abuja.
She has been in the custody of the EFCC in Lagos for the past one week.

It was learnt that her lawyer has been battling without success to get her released.
Mrs. Amosu’s arrest followed the alleged discovery of about N3 billion in her bank accounts. She was allegedly holding the money in trust for her husband.

DSS stops hacking of TSA to steal N4.5bn

The Department of State Service has apprehended some serving and retired civil servants who it said were planning to steal N4.5bn from the Treasury Single Account.
It said that the plan of the gang was was to hack the Government Integrated Financial Management Information System domiciled in the Office of the Accountant General of the Federation and steal the money.

An aircraft belonging to Bristow Helicopter crashed on Wednesday while heading to Lagos from Port Harcourt, Rivers state capital.

Adebayo Kehinde, public relations officer of Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), confirmed the incident to TheCable but did not give details.

FG makes French compulsory for Nigerian Students

The Federal Government of Nigeria has declared that students from primary to tertiary institutions will henceforth have to learn French language as part of their curriculum.
According to The Nation reports, the FG will embark on intensive training of more French teachers in its bid to make it the nation’s second official language.
