Former Senate President, Ken Nnamani Joins APC

Former Senate President, Ken Nnamani, has formally joined APC. Nnamani who was Nigeria's Senate President from 2005-2007, quit PDP in February 2016 and said he was retiring from partisan politics. Announcing his return to partisan politics and his defection to APC at his Amaechi ward in Enugu South Council area of Enugu state Sunday, Nnamani said he is joining the ruling party because his constituents asked him to. He currently serves as the head of the Electoral Reform Committee set up by President Buhari last year.

Pretty Mike Arrested By Lagos State For Putting Women In Chains; Signs Undertaking

 

30 year old club owner, Mike Nwogu aka Pretty Mike was arrested on the orders of the Lagos State Government for attending events with young ladies in chains. The LASG made him sign an undertaking before being released and made it clear that LASG wouldn't tolerate dehumanization of its citizens.

Buhari, Sirleaf, other West African leaders meet over Gambia Crisis [PICS]

President Buhari held a meeting with other West African leaders including Senegal President Macky Sall, Liberian President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, Sierra Leone Vice-President Victor Foh and former Ghana president John Mahama, in ABuja earlier today. 

The meeting is towards finding a lasting solution to the lingering political crisis in Gambia. 

The incumbent president, Yahya Jammeh, has refused calls to step down.

In a series of tweets, President Buhari announced the sack of the Executive Secretary of the Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria and his immediate replacement.

Nigerians are already relating the sack to the recent enforcement of financial regulations on NGOs. It's interesting to see Buhari fire a public officer for doing his job.

Recently, Arik Airlines have been having issues with their flights with a lot of cancelled flights. Things got to a head however at the Lagos Airport when Arik cancelled another flight but the passengers were not having it this time. The mobbed the Arik manager as shown in the video who helplessly fought to defend himself.

Sources say Arik has brand new aircrafts but pilots refuse to fly as they are beign owed. Talk about priorites.
