However, about 75 house of reps democrats boycotted the event.

A twin bomb blast occured this morning at the University of Maiduguri's mosque killing 5 people and injuring an estimated 20 people.

Pretty Mike Arrested By Lagos State For Putting Women In Chains; Signs Undertaking

 

30 year old club owner, Mike Nwogu aka Pretty Mike was arrested on the orders of the Lagos State Government for attending events with young ladies in chains. The LASG made him sign an undertaking before being released and made it clear that LASG wouldn't tolerate dehumanization of its citizens.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) caucus in the upper chamber today Tuesday Jan. 10th removed Senator Ali Ndume as the Senate Majority Leader. The senators in a letter to the Senate President Bukola Saraki put forward Senator Ahmed Lawan as the replacement.

He talks about being inspired by his trip to the village, where he realised oil belongs to nigerians and they must enjoy the benefit as well as the ministry becoming more accountable to the people.

He also talked about signing long term contracts with buyers of crude and encouraged nigerians to seize opportunities in 2017.

Buhari, Sirleaf, other West African leaders meet over Gambia Crisis [PICS]

President Buhari held a meeting with other West African leaders including Senegal President Macky Sall, Liberian President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, Sierra Leone Vice-President Victor Foh and former Ghana president John Mahama, in ABuja earlier today. 

The meeting is towards finding a lasting solution to the lingering political crisis in Gambia. 

The incumbent president, Yahya Jammeh, has refused calls to step down.
