BREAKING: Auchi Poly shut down over protests.

The management of Auchi Polytechnic, Edo state has shut down the school following a violent student protest over the "no school fees, no exam" policy introduced by management on Thursday in which over 100 cars were damaged.

Students who were denied access to the exam hall mobilized and disrupted examinations and went on a rampage destroying property.

The police and vigilante however were able to save the day, and some students were arrested.

BREAKING: Niger Delta Avengers blow up SPDC Forcados pipeline

The Niger Delta Avengers in a tweet just minutes ago claims to have blown up an SPDC pipeline that was undergoing repairs even after it warned SPDC not to do repairs.

This is happening with the heavy presence of the Military inn the Niger Delta.

This can only worsen the power situation in the country.

At 3:00 am today @NDAvengers blow up the SPDC forcados 48" Exportline. We warned SPDC not to go ahead with repair works but they refuse.

BREAKING: NLC to proceed on strike tomorrow despite court order

The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) has vowed to go ahead with its planned strike despite the ruling of the National Industrial Court.

Benson Upah, the union’s head of information, confirmed this to TheCable late Tuesday.

“‎NLC’s position has not shifted. The strike will go on tomorrow,” he said.
